Too many underserved rural communities sit an hour or more from a primary care provider, and too many employees skip care they can’t easily reach during a workday. Both problems have the same root: Access to primary care is a national problem exacerbated by Health Professional Shortages.

Hamilton HealthBox, the primary care microclinic leader, was founded to improve access to primary care by bringing fully staffed microclinics to communities where traditional healthcare facilities are difficult to support. each clinic combines in person, face-to-face care with telemedicine , to make healthcare accessible, convenient, and affordable for underserved populations including rural populations and employers.

Our Story

2019

Hamilton Healthbox Founded

Hamilton Healthbox was founded in 2019 by Dr. Toby Hamilton with the belief that access to primary care shouldn’t depend on where someone lives or works. After pioneering the micro-hospital system, Emerus, Dr. Hamilton recognized that many communities and employers still lacked sustainable access to everyday primary care. He founded Hamilton Healthbox to bring high-quality, technology-enabled primary care closer to patients through small-footprint microclinics that combine in-person care with telehealth.

2019

First Microclinic Deployed

Hamilton Healthbox’s first microclinic, Martin Preferred Foods, deployed in Houston.

2020-2021

Opened an OnSite Clinic & COVID Pop-ups

Opened California Pomona OnSite Clinic and ran COVID-19 pop-up testing sites across Houston, as well as on-demand testing for TMC Innovation employees and partners.

2022

Opened First Rural Clinic

With our partner Variety Care, Hamilton Healthbox opened its first rural clinic in Oklahoma. In this time, we’ve also continued to deploy and operate employer clinics.

2023

Opened Rural Pods

With our partner Health and Wellness, Hamilton Healthbox opened its first rural pods of clinics in various locations.

2024

Expansion Outside of Texas

Alaska and California expansion of employer clinics with Hilcorp and Pomona College.

2025

Expansion in West Texas

Working alongside Bravo Health, Hamilton HealthBox opened a West Texas rural pod of clinics.

2026

Further Expansion

Expanding operations to dozens of clinics ranging from employers to rural areas.
